You survived what you shouldn’t have had to. Your story matters – and so does how you grow from here.

APPLIED THERAPEUTIC PRACTICE™

Where psychological understanding meets real life.

Applied Therapeutic Practice™ is the name I give to my working model. It brings together pluralistic, trauma-informed counselling and hypnotherapy with attention to what happens in your everyday life.

Therapy can help you understand why you feel the way you do. We also make space for the question: "What do I do with that understanding now?" Together, we explore your experiences at your pace and find manageable ways to bring what you learn into life outside our sessions.

Insight creates possibility. Living creates change.

Three connected worlds

Inner World - your emotions, beliefs, memories, identity and nervous system.
Everyday Life - your relationships, routines, boundaries and choices.
Wider World - your environment, community, opportunities and access to support.

Five areas we may move through

Understand what is happening. Make it Visible by naming or mapping a pattern. Practise something different. Connect with people, places or support. Build a life that feels more like your own. These are flexible areas, not a fixed sequence.

Our work may include therapeutic exploration, psychoeducation (understanding how emotions and coping patterns work), personalised resources, practising conversations or boundaries, and agreed behavioural experiments: small, manageable ways to try something different. Where appropriate, we may explore practical support, signposting or social prescribing, and reflect together on what happens in real life.

This remains therapy, with clear professional boundaries. It is not life coaching or case management. I do not direct your life or coordinate services on your behalf; we work together to increase your understanding and choice.

Sessions are available in person in Nottingham and online across the UK for adults seeking support with trauma, anxiety, burnout, self-worth, relationships and life transitions.
